My suggestions (for "good advice" it might be a bit too early) for driving as safely as possible are:

Trust your stomach! When driving out on german roads (speed limit 100 kms/h but almost everybody goes faster...) I always speed up, until I feel that certain pressure in my stomach
which comes shortly before I start to feel really scared. With growing experience you will go faster and faster before it comes.

Pretend you are invisible! Most dangerous situations appear, when car drivers just overlook bikers. When you swear about them, you're right: They are blind idiots! So try to think for them as well!

Don't worry about being a beginner. If there was nothing ahead for me to learn, biking wasn't even half as much fun!
